Pre & Postnatal

I’ve always loved working with mum’s to be and new mums especially after becoming a mum myself back in 2018.

Building from my extensive qualifications and personal experiences I can work with you to help boost energy levels and maintain fitness.

Pre - natal Workouts

In the past any form of exercise during pregnancy was considered to be a NO GO and pregnant women were encouraged to adapt a sedentary lifestyle.

However, this is no longer the case, it is such an important part of a healthy pregnancy.

So, what are the benefits of exercising during pregnancy?

  • Improves circulation

  • Reduces Swelling

  • Enhance muscular discomfort

  • Boost energy levels

  • Helps you sleep better

  • Lowers your risk of developing Gestational Diabetes or Preeclampsia

  • Helps maintain fitness

  • Improvesbody awareness

  • Better self-esteem

  • And can help quick postnatal recovery

The post-natal period is often a difficult time in term of maintaining the commitment to exercise. As a mum and qualified PT, I get it!

Firstly ladies, before you start an exercise class or programme, get the all clear from your GP or midwife. Always seek the advice of a professional especially if you may need physio care after childbirth.

For all you new mums out there, this is one of the most magical yet equally anxious times in your life. Please remember its not a race back into shape, it’s about feeling strong ad using the time for you. Be realistic!

The benefits post-natal exercise can bring:

  • Improve your cardiovascular fitness

  • It can help with gradual weight loss

  • Strengthen and tone abdominal muscles

  • Improve posture

  • Boost your energy level

  • Increase self-confidence

  • Reduce anxiety

  • Promote better sleep

  • Even helps risk of postpartum depression
